Palo Alto Networksʼ Cortex XDR received several AV-Comparatives awards in 2025, namely:
AV-Comparatives is an independent international organization specializing in testing cybersecurity solutions. It conducts regular studies of protection effectiveness under conditions that closely mimic real-world attack scenarios. Its certifications are based on practical tests and serve as a key benchmark for evaluating solutions on the market.
The Cortex XDR solution was the only one among the leaders in the endpoint security market to receive certification in two important categories simultaneously: EDR Detection Validation and Anti-Tampering Protection.
During testing, the solution demonstrated a more proactive and accurate approach to threat detection compared to other vendors. Its resistance to attempts to disable or bypass security (anti-tampering), which is critical in modern attacks, stood out compared to others.
The result: Cortex XDR’s ability to operate effectively even in complex scenarios where attackers attempt to interfere with the security system has been confirmed.
In the Endpoint Prevention & Response (EPR) Product Validation 2025 report, Cortex XDR achieved:
The testing was conducted using an XDR Prevent license and covered the full incident response lifecycle, from detection to mitigation.
Moreover, Palo Alto Networks was the only market leader to achieve these results with a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). This means that high performance is achieved without overly complicating the infrastructure or increasing costs.
Cortex XDR demonstrates consistent performance in scenarios that closely mimic real-world attacks, making it a reliable choice for companies seeking to enhance their security without complicating their processes.
